Hi guys,

The sound that comes out of my headset, a Sennheiser PC 320, sounds worse than before I installed Windows 8.1 which was required for the new AMD driver (14.4). The headphones are connected through the connectors in the front of my case.

Specifications:
Processor: AMD fx-8320 8-core @ 3,5GHz (non-OC)
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Motherboard: MSI 760GA-P43
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 2x4GB 1600MHz CL9
Storage: Samsung 830 Series 128GB SSD
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 7200rpm HDD
Graphics card: XFX R9 290 Double Dissapation Black Edition @ 980Mhz (factory OC) / Sapphire HD 6670 (both cards have the problem so it has nothing to do with AMD's True Audio)
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNova 1000 G2
Case: NZXT H440

If any one knows how to fix this; let me know! Thanks in advance.

That is the absolute worse audio jack you can use, at ~9' your cable should be long enough to use the jacks at the back of the motherboard. If they are not long enough, the use of an extension should work. That tends to solve most noise issues (result of using the front panel jack and receiving all the electrical noise running around in the computer)

There is no noise, the quality of the sound just absolutely degraded.
Of course 3 meters is enough to plug it into the back of my computer, but I use a setup that allows me to switch between my speakers and headset with the click of a button. This requires my headset to be plugged into the front.

Check that the High-def audio jack is into the motherboard completely and that the latest driver for your RealTek ALC887 (audio chipset) is installed http://www.realtek.cz/realtek-download.php?realtek=ALC8...
