W7 box won't sleep automatically

Over the weekend my W7 box decided to stop sleeping automatically as it has been for some time. Of course I checked and fiddled with the power settings without success. I suspect this is the result of a recent Microsoft "update" but I'm curious if others are experiencing the same thing and possibly have found a remedy.

Ok this is what i would recommend start running virus and malware scans in F8 safe mode.

Then let me know if there are any found.

Then after that in command prompt or CMD type sfc /scannow let it do it's thing.Might take a while.
