How can I change the drive where Windows is installed

I have a PC with a 64GB SSD as my boot drive with Windows 8 installed and a 2TB HDD for all of my documents and programs. I purchased a 128gb SSD that I would like to put Windows on. How could I transfer my OS? I still have the OEM installation disk, but I am worried if I will be able to use the activation key again? I will be formatting the 64GB SSD so it will have nothing on it.
Any help you could offer would be appreciated and thank you for any help you can offer.

you can change the ssd and do a fresh install. the cd key is linked to the motherboard so everything will be fine.

I don't want to copy all of the data. I just want to make sure the the product activation key will work.

So all I have to do is connect the new SSD, insert the installation disk, and select the new drive alas the install point? Can I disconnect the old SSD and my 2TB hdd during the installation?

I recommend disconnecting all drives other than the one you are installing the OS onto. You can reconnect your other drives after the OS installation is complete.
