First, you want to read this guide:

http://www.overclock.net/t/1140459/bulldozer-overclocking-guide-performance-scaling-charts-max-ocs-ln2-results-coming

The FSB and HT Link voltages he uses are good. The CPU NB (memory controller) is a little higher than I prefer, but still within safe limits.

And also, read the official AMD guide. You can download the PDF here:

http://sites.amd.com/us/Documents/AMD_FX_Performance_Tuning_Guide.pdf

And if you like you can read about the results I got with an FX 6350, on that same motherboard, using the 2 guides above:

My results are about 1/3 of the way down the page, posted April 24, 2014. You *MIGHT* be able to get...

The GA-970A-UD3P motherboard has LLC. You will want this set to medium or extreme. (* There is no 'High' setting in between these 2 settings. I don't know why. I tried all other settings and did not see anything that fell between them while monitoring)

See how high your individual CPU can go on stock voltage first. Then start moving up from there. Start with SMALL steps. Keep your voltages sane and your temps low. When tweaking the FSB, keep your Ram at or below stock speed until you have your FSB+CPU OC stable.

Then you can OC the RAM if you like. Most quality RAM can go a little higher than stock, but may require slightly looser timings and a little more voltage.
