Is my new laptop compatible to hackintosh?

Hi there! I want to turn my new laptop to hackintosh 'cause I'm coming from a long macbook pro tradition. The specs of my new laptop are: Intel Core i5 2430M 2.40GHz, 4 GB DDR3 RAM, nVidia GeForce GT 740M 1GB Graphics card, SATA 500 GB 5400 rpm hdd. Could this turn to a hackintosh? Thanks in advance for your help and best regards from Greece!!!

  1. Yep - boot off an OSX disk and you're good.
  2. @Marklamarkle: Could you be just a little more specific please???? I just received it yesterday will no software installed...
    Thanks for your answers!!!
  3. I'm no expert with macs, but you need to buy the operating system in order to install it first.

Put that into the CD drive on your laptop. you may need to select it as the boot drive so keep pressing delete when you start the laptop, then choose to boot off the DVD writer. Follow the on screen commands.
  4. Good luck if you think that a Snow Leopard retail disk will install on an i5 computer in that way!
