I want to have my PC's HDMI output to be connected to my TV via two paths.
1. Directly from PC to TV. Only Video is required.
2. PC to TV via receiver. Both Audio and video is required.

I need this working such that, I can use the TV remote to switch between 1 & 2.
1. I *do not* want an active HDMI switch.
2. I tried this passive HDMI switch, and am facing this issue.

What options do i have?
PC has one HDMI out. I need another to be connected to the same TV.
Can i use VGA to HDMI convertor or DVI to HDMI convertor as my second HDMI out from PC along with the onboard HDMI out, such that I can select from either using TV remote?

You should be able to go DVI to HDMI for just the video feed and then just HDMI to HDMI for audio and video.

So I would be able to get feeds from both inputs at same time, and can switch between the two anytime. Right?

I don't believe you can get both outputs to work simultaneously. Both will display desktops and can be cloned, but I think video (movies) is only displayed on the primary display. You'd have to swap the displays and then switch your HDTV input.
