I currently have a 660 in and I want to upgrade. So I was wondering if the gtx 770 (reference card) will fit.
(it did not seem all that much bigger at bestbuy)

Just measure your case from back slots to drive bay cages. And look up the dimensions of the Card your looking at. Seems to me it hovers around 290 mm or 11.5 inches

Search for GTX 770's on Newegg. They will give you lots of info on the cards, including pictures. You could compare the size of your current card with the ones in the pictures. You could also (possibly) get one of the best buy guys to open the box for you and let you see the card for yourself.

That is what I thought but the boxes on the outside are about the same size and, they both fill the boxes.

I had a 660 before and with a size comparison with 770 and 670 it looked not that much bigger. so I am led astray by all the 10- 11 inches info.

According to Nvidia the 660 is 9.5 inches long and the 770 is 10.5 inches is length. All in all the 770 is ~3 cm longer than your 660.

I'm not understanding. Ok. How about this. Tell us the Brand of Case you have currently and Tell us the specific GPU your eyeballing. You'll surely get a strait answer Yay or Nay

What does the box it comes in have to do with the real size of the card? This is how trucks end up cutting their roofs off on bridges. "well we fit under the last bridge and this one looks about as tall...." If it's off by a few mm you can't eyeball it, but that can mean you cant fit the card in. Cut out a cardboard shape that will fit in the case, measure it. Then find the specs of the card you want and compare to the cut out.

Take a measuring tape and measure the distance maximal for a GPU to fit, then compare it with 10.5 inches, its not so hard!

Ye that card will fit. Just. Looks like that case supports a 10.5" card which the 770 your looking at is. Here's the specs on both
Case: http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/104-m59-case

GPU: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt...

It will work!
