I am looking to upgrade my graphics card to an Nvidia GeForce GTX 760. My current power supply is a 460 W, and my motherboard is an ASUSTek M5A88-M. I think my motherboard is OK, but probably will need a bigger power supply. Need to know what power supply is compatible with my current motherboard and with the proposed graphics upgrade. Thanks for any information!

Processor is AMD FX-4100Current Graphics is Nvidia GeForce GTS 450
Power supply is Thermaltake TR2-430
Computer has DDR3 and * GB Memory
you need a psu upgrade to run such gpu. a gtx 760 would require 2x6pin or 1x8pin power cables. your tr2 430w psu provides 1x6pin and also isnt a quality unit. fx 4100 wont allow you to run the gtx760 at its full potential but you will have playable fps. i dont recommend overclocking with such mobo, or run any higher fx model cpu
Power Supply: XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($44.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $44.99
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

another thing you can do to skip the psu upgrade is upgrade to an 750ti that wont require additional power to run. it will be a worthy upgrade.
