I'm looking to buy a Geforce GTX 760 (or possibly just a GTX 750) and want to buy the quitest one there is. The noise during game not so much important, just something that when its idle and the fan speeds are lower that its really nice and quiet. Even if it performs slowly lower than other 760/750 models thats ok.

There's a big difference in performance between the GTX 760 and GTX 750. Most GTX 750s will be quieter simply because they are using the newer Maxwell GPU that is extremely cool running. I used this GTX 750 Ti for a while in a system: http://www.evga.com/articles/00821/#2754
Needs no 6 pin connection and runs on any good quality 300W PSU. Dead silent at idle. The Ti is somewhat midway between the 750 and 760.

I'm just looking at the MSI GTX 760 TwinFrozr OC 2gig, seems to be getting excellent reviews in terms of noise output, one saying you could barely tell it was switched on at idle!. Anyone here used this one? is it pretty solid and reliable?

The link below will take you to all the reviews of GTX 760s on TechPowerUp. Click on the ones in which you're interested and use the drop down menu to go directly to the "Fan Noise" page. You can also search for GTX 750s and compare with those as well. The MSI GTX 760 Twin Frozr seems very quiet.

Just wanted to update this. I eventually decided to go for the MSI Geforce GTX750ti OC Twin Frozr edition.

It is unbelievably quiet, wow!. I have 4 Noctua 140mm case fans but they're all spinning at a very slow 700RPM, and I can't even hear the MSI above them when placing my ear close to the case, very impressive noise levels!

Would highly recommend MSI's Twin Frozr graphics cards if you like your system to be quiet.
