So I already purchased an Radeon R9-295x2 and it's in the mail.
This was done to replace my current GTX EVGA 680 superclocked editions in SLI. I had been waiting on a single card solution that wasn't just equal in strength and performance to my SLI setup but one that would far surpass it.
Now the purchase was somewhat of an impulse buy and I realize perhaps I should have gone to Toms first. Nevertheless when I get it I should be able to return it if I choose.
So please all Fanboy-ism aside ,( As I love my 680's) , is the R9-295x2 a worthwhile upgrade, not just for future 4k gaming ( I currently have only 1080p....4k will be a year or so from now).
My current rig is this: AMD 8350 @ 4.7
ASUS M5a99x evo R20 motherboard
EVGA GTX 680 SC x2 SLI
Corsair H80i cooler
Corsair HX 1050 PSU
32 gig Corsair Dominator ram
Samsung 840 pro SSD
Thermaltake Armor revo chassis
