Buying an used graphics card

Hello . I want to buy an used graphics card from a guy . Asus Radeon R9 270x . How can i know or how can i find if he overclock the gpu ?? I dont want to buy a damaged video board because this is pretty expensive for me.....
The guy lives in another city , I can't test it myself .

The OC is user side, it wont transfer with most cards. If he OCed it, there is no way to know outside of his word. Also no way to know how the card was treated, it could have been in the box all its life, or dropped 3 times and OCed to its thermal and voltage barrier.

There is simply no way to know, and no way to replace it.
With PC hardware you should always try to buy new. That means warranties, returns, and peace of mind.

Even if the card is overclocked.. bonus.
I would ask him if he overclocked it. But even if it is and you don't want it to be, that's a simple reset through Asus CCC.
If you're getting a good deal on it, go for it.
