Hello,

I am overclocking my i5 4670k
I increase the multiplier to hit 4.3ghz
I increase my voltage to 1.22

I run Intel Burn Test on High 10 times and temps hit 100c I immediate aborted

I am using Corsair H75 Liquid Cooling

edit*I went back down to stable at 4.0ghz High temps reaching 85c
What could be the issue? I am thinking thermal paste

More about : cpu temperature high

Yea, first clean the old thermal paste (with 70%+ isopropyl alcohol ) off and reapply some new thermal paste. Then re-install the cooler.

Any particular size, Nickel size is what I usually hear but maybe you have a different advice.

edit* I have pre-made 4.5 ML syringe thermal paste already measured out taken from work these are for Intel Xeon CPU for servers.

The size of the thermal past on the cpu should be no more than a peanut. I recommend this video if you need more help understanding. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hNgFNH7zhQ
