IS the AMD athlon x4 750k with GTX 760 2GB a good computer for gaming (next gen)

Solution
The cpu is too weak. It will botlleneck the card. As you can see here.http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/build-your-own-budget-amd-pc,3807-2.html
My opinion go for a fx 6300 and a r9 270. Best budget gaming pc for the money at 1080p.

The Athlon 750K is entry-level at best; it will certainly hold back the GTX 760 somewhat. That said, it should be capable of playing games like Battlefield 3/4 at over 60 frames per second. The issue will be when you come across more demanding games in the next few years where the video card is being taxed, and the 750K struggles to support the GTX 760 to pump out desirable framerates.

I estimate that often times the GTX 760 when stuck with the 750K will linger around 50-80% usage, meaning you won't get much better performance than if you used a GTX 750.

If you can, try to get an FX-6300 or i3-3220/4130... at the very least you will want an Athlon 760K and/or to overclock the Athlon to over 4GHz.

You might want to change your cpu to an amd fx 8350 or an i5 4670k. The Geforce GTX 760 won't run every game at ultra settings, but games like CoD, Battlefield, Titanfall, etc should run well. Battlefield 4 is faster on amd gpus. If you are comparing to consoles, that would be a LOT better. But the reason U should up the cpu is because of bottlenecking. Most games will take advantage of faster cpus like the ones I mentioned.

with new games you need more cpu power rather than gpu power. games like Watch Dogs, battlefield 4 and crysis 3 need a lot of cpu power. you should buy a different more powerful processor. the athlon 750k will not last more than a couple of years. next gen consoles WILL last and you dont need to go through the trouble of always upgrading.

if you want to play "next gen" games like the PS4 or Xbox One, BUY A CONSOLE.
