I recently bought the Hyper 212 Evo CPU cooler on sale and haven't had a chance to put it in my PC until last night (2 weeks after purchasing it). To my surprise it didn't fit into over my RAM which is Crucial Ballistix Elite. I have ever slot in my computer filled with an 8GB module and don't know what to do. I can't return any memory or even exchange the cooler. Is it possible to remove the heatspreaders that are on the memory? I understand that it will void the warranty but being that it is summer (almost 90 degrees), and I need to game/work and it crashes within minutes of playing, I'm pretty desperate.
