Hey, so i'm currently using 2x4gb XMS3 RAM sticks from Corsair, but now I need more RAM and was wondering if using 2x XMS3 and 2x Vengeance (or whatever) would be bad in any way?

And all of the above is if they will even run together at all, mixing DRAM can be and often is problematic, might work fine, might not work at all, may need voltage/timing adjustments...always best to get a single package of the full amount you want, that way they are guaranteed to all play nice together

If for example you have 2 sticks of DDR3 1333 and 2 sticks of DDR3 1600, the computer will run them both at the speed of the slowest ram. In this case the DDR 1333. Unless you overclock the 1333 to the speed of the 1600.
