Hi
I am making a PC that is for only gaming so the i7 isn't a good pick. I was wanting an experienced opinion on which is better for games and overclocking with a 212 EVO. I am wanting it to be 4.5ghz because I play flight sim x and minecraft which are cpu dependent. Also it would be helpful if you could tell me a cheap 60hz monitor with speakers. I don't care what size it is so that doesn't matter.

Practically all motherboards manufactured in the past 10-12 years have integrated sound and some form of HD-audio for most of the past six years.

Unless you buy a board with poor audio design or are picky about sound, integrated audio should get the job done.

Get the i5-4690k then which has the new tim for better over clocking and don't get a second generation i5 as it is the same price as the i5-4690k.

An i5-4670k stock will be about as fast as the i5-2500k overclocked to 4.5GHz due to the 12-15% architectural efficiency gains.

You also gain another 1-2% from having PCIe 3.0 between the CPU and GPU.
