So I want to build a computer. I have been researching for the last week and would like to know from the community if I am right on the right track. My end goal would be to have a great all-around rig to withstand homework, gaming(i would really like to play assasins creed maybe get into an mmo) and would like to have an end result(within the next six months) of being a control center for a home theater system. I would like to stay within my initial budget of $700, I was thinking AMD FX 8350 as a processor, 120gb ssd(windows 7 professional/microsoft office), 8gb of ram then eventually grow to 16, 970 Extreme3 R2.0 Socket AM3+ ATX AMD Motherboard, What kind of graphics card would be sufficient and should I reconsider choosing a different motherboard. Any advice is appreciated
Thank you
best,
Irish

hmmm. processor is fine. ill suggest that go for Asus ROG crosshair V formula mobo. I know its expensive but it is damn good and ill last you very very long. and for gpu ill suggest R9 270X at least or go for R9 290 and overclock it...... And if you you cant afford R series card then go for gtx660 or 7870..... ty

The 970 extreme3 probably will only be able to support hte 8350 on stock. I'd recommend getting a gigabyte 970 UD3P or a 990fx chipset motherboard. Also if you go with an AMD CPU, instead of the 8350, go with an 8320 and overclock to the 8350 speeds. they're both unlocked cpus so overclocking isn't hard. Get an aftermarket cooler with it.

I'd recommend getting a sapphire dual X r9 270, overclock that to match the 270x for your graphics card.
