Hey all, wonderful fourm!!! now to my question,i am fairl new to custom pcs and that,i want to know if this temp is good, bad or fine,on prime i get about max 60 'c running prime95 and monitoring with core temp. and while gaming it about between 50-58 'c. and idling is about 29-34 'c.
my Specs

i7 3770(non-k)
msi h77ma-g43
12gb kingston ram
gigabyte 7950 3gb
corsair tx650 psu
coolermaster sniper case
coolermaster v6 gt
120gb transend 340 ssd (Primary)
1tb seagate hdd
windows 7 home Premium
and i used deepcool z9 thermal compound (thats all my local shop had)
looking forward to your replys :)
o and i live in South Africa and maybe(guessing) room temp is about 23 'c on average

Solution
60C maximum is very normal and perfectly safe, even temperatures in the 80's are "safe". However you should try to never exceed ~90c in order to maintain the best lifespan for your CPU

okay cool thank very much guys for the feed back!!!was just a little worried, but now that you all have cleared that up,and thanks @ComuTronix,will definitely read that guide thoroughly a little later :)
okay guys during my lunch hour i poped in at home, and i cleaned the cpu cooler(was basically clean just slight surface dust on,used electrical contact cleaner)
and the cooler also had a little bit of play/wiggle once fastened down(read online it is common, apparently cooler master sent that person a different/modified bracket) but i just stretched that cross bar that holds the cooler a bit and now its fine, very steady,,also manage to get some XIGMATEK pti g3606 thermal compound , from another shop, applied a pea sized in the center of the cooler(before with the deep cool z9 i spread it as per instructions on the box ,and after 25 to 30 mins max temp core #1 got up to was 59 degrees c.

Just an update guys, after a few hours of staring at my The Coolermaster sniper case i decided it was too big for my room,so i purchased the Thermaltake h21(with window) case,a very small and budget case i know) and purchased the Deepcool Gammaxx 300 CPU Cooler, and replaced the fan on the cooler with an aerocool shark 12cm blue fan,it protrudes above the cooler but the blue leds on the fan make up for it,and with red case led lights reflecting around it.so look very nice,so back to the point.temps seems slightly better now,on idel im getting an average of 28'c and with prime95 100% load, half hour test(same time as the first test with the other case and cooler) got a max of 58'c and instead of the deepcool paste i used xigmatek pti g3606 paste(i removed the preapplied one that came with the cooler)
