I am currently part way through my first build but I have a problem.
I have done almost all the wiring but in my semi modular power supply (cx750m) I have one cable left on it that was pre attached (2 cables came pre attached, one of them the 24 pin motherboard power plug and this cable I am referring to is the other one,). I know the CPU needs power and currently I have not found where it's socket is. On the motherboard (AsRock Extreme 4) there is a socket on the top left (near the CPU) which looks like it will fit. I was going to plug it in there but then when i referred to the manual it was labelled ATX 12V. I looked it up online and couldn't find anything so I am coming to this forum for help!!
All I need to know please is whether I am meant to plug in the cable to the socket.
