hey, i'm creating a new build though it will take time so i was just wondering if you could give me an opinion of the parts list i have put together, this rig will be mainly used for gaming so i wanna know how futureproof it will be :p

any opinions and walkthroughs would be greatly appreciated

Solution
Yes - for the same money you should get a GTX780Ti and keep the change.

Put that into a better power supply eg Antec HCG 620M

Also - you've got no motherboard. Get a 990fx chipset one.

And you shouldn't really need that cooler. Get an air cooler eg any Noctua or Colermaster Hyper 212 evo

For nearly 1000 quid you should be able to get an Intel cpu and matching mobo. More reliable, keeps cooler, more powerful. Costs more.

Changed everything except the DVD-drive, case, and the CPU:

the only reason i went for sli is because i have one 760 already.. and nobody wants to buy it for a decent price so i can trade up for a higher tier, lol but other than that is everything else fine?

The CPU cooler is overpriced, the PSU is bad, and the RAM is not that great (1.65V).

i did have a motherboard, i should have mentioned that it was hiding right at the bottom because for some reason it isnt listed on the pcp site any more.. also the reason i chose amd is because literally when buying everything i can buy each item every fortnight... (one item a fortnight unless my income rises) otherwise i would have gone intel again, enjoyed my old intel before it was stolen :'( so i just thought i'd give amd another try due to already having an FX6300 build at presant :) also the only reason i wanted to go liquid cpu cooling if that it looks slightly cleaner rather than having such a huge heasink in the base of my pc, though i read up on how good the cooler is its more personal preference for looks, though i also do read up on how often the aio coolers can come a bit well.... broken etc so idk if i'll risk it (depends if it is worth it?

okay, i'll leave out the cooler and get a noctua, isn't that cooler 17-18 cm height? (would it fit in the case?)

The height is a bit under 16cm and the case can take coolers up to 17cm tall.

i looked into that intel building idea you mentioned though the only problem would be i can't save up as well... money burns a hole in my pocket :(.

do you know of any other online sites for pc parts as the ones i've been on rarely have deals (compared to newegg- though the delivery charge is crazy)

okay, well i'll definately get that cooler then. thank you :) also, i don't suppose you know much about overclocking a 6300?

@nastycocopop: Well I've never overclocked a 6300, but what you basically do is go to the BIOS and turn up the multiplier, then run a Prime95 test for a while. If it fails and Bluescreens, turn up the voltage, if it doesn't fail, turn up the multiplier. And remember to closely monitor CPU temps while using Prime95.

i did manage to get it stable at 4.3 but my mobo temps were crazy high.. i have an msi 970A-G43 (it has bad vrm's) it hit 84c after 20-30 minutes of p95 but it was stable though idle it stayed at around 40-45c
