Hey, everyone!

I am in the process of upgrading my current PC into something more game worthy.
Most of the parts I already have and some are on the shopping list.
This is what the final build should look like: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/raduph/saved/DfL48d

As you might notice, I have yet to pick a power supply.
I want a modular PSU and preferably with active PFC.
Also I can't decide between ATX 2.2 and 2.3 - Max power output should be in excess of 700W (or more? I might decide on getting a second R9 when the prices start dipping).

What do you guys think? I can't change the build very much as some parts I have already, what's left to buy is a new PSU, (my current one is 600W and with 7 HDDs total plus a big chung of peripherals and the R9 and a DVD-RW I'm worried it will die soon), a bigger full tower case as cable management is a right pain at the moment, and a dedicated sound card, even though the mobo has an HD integrated chip (your opinion on this would be valued, as well. Is it worth getting a dedicated card?)
Also getting CPU cooler and some case fans.

I am thinking of Super Flower Golden King, 750W, ATX 2.2, PFC Activ - as you can see on atx 2.2
and Sirtec APT-700, 700W, ATX 2.3, PFC activ this one is liste as SLI/Crossfire ready, so is right for my future plans.

Any tips?

EDIT: Get the EVGA G2 750 www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438017

I just popped in a 250 GB adata pro ssd and a 260x and play all my games on low settings to reduce lag since I am either killing other players or monsters, but I splurge like crazy on my power supplies even though my graphics cards are weak >.<

EVGA G2 750 or 850 or XFX 750 or 850. The EVGA has a 10 year warranty. I only buy XFX full wired power supply with the exception of an Antec HCG 620M and I just put the unused wires at the bottom of the case since getting cases designed for bottom mounted power supplies.

I have 3 260x with True Audio and the 290x comes with true audio so there is probably no need for a separate sound card unless if you are...
Hi Ion PowerRanger
The Radeon R9-290X requires a psu with 33A on the +12v rail and a 600W psu minimum
If setting up for a second R9 -290X AMD's minimum recommeded psu for cfx r9 290's is 800W.
I would not get any of the PSU's you suggest as they are all Poor quallity PSU's with low grade capacitors
Get a quality psu with high grade japanese capacitors from seasonic / xfx or any PSU from Corsairs TX,HX or AX range of PSU's
or Coolermasters V series or The EVGA supernova series

I just connect my 50 inch TV to the HDMI output on the 260x and sit about 4 to 8 feet away but I wear clip-on sunglasses to reduce eye fatigue and I just have music playing and the in-game sounds off.

The 4 identical HDDs are setup in a Raid 0 array.
I can't change much of the build since I am upgrading from an old configuration.
What I have added recently is the memory and the 290x.
Still on the "to buy" list are the case, PSU, a separate sound-card(maybe), aftermarket cooling for CPU.

The 3000$ price tag includes everything, including the stuff I already own and peripherals.

What about Corsair AX860 - 860W - would that be able to hold 2x290x?

I've decided to skip on the second video card for now. No sense in locking down money for 6-12 months, I'll just upgrade when the time comes and not be bothered with it.

Thank you for the help, everyone, I'm going with the Corsair AX860.
