Cant find Nvidia drivers in Control panel on windows 8

My friend has a weird problem when removing nvidia graphics drivers, he has windows 8

When trying to uninstall the drivers, they simply DONT show up in the control panel.
Sereously we have searched his entire computer for any sort of nvidia related programs but NOTHING, there is NOTHING. Exept for the GeForce Experience wich we had to download to update drivers (hence the problem, cant update the graphics drivers)

So how do we find the drivers so we can uninstall them?

Some specs about his pc
PC: Asus rog tytan g50
It HAS nvidia card so dont eaven ask
And its a hellofa pain-in-the-ass computer

More about find nvidia drivers control panel windows
  1. Try Uninstall Programs - should be a bunch of em.
  2. We CANT find any nvidia related programs at all in the control panel neither uninstall programs. The only thing we find is Nvidia geforce wich i just installed on his pc

The problem here is we have to uninstall his graphics drivers so we can install the new ones due to we cant update his graphics drivers for some reason (however we can update the other drivers)
  3. If they don't show up then they're not installed. To install new drivers, do it through Geforce Experience. It'll ask about uninstalling old drivers anyway. Let it try.
  4. We did that. We both did specific and fast installation but both failed because of only one thing, graphics drivers. And no, it didnt ask about to uninstall the older ones. It simply said everything got installed exept for graphics card wich failed

It is under C> Program files> NVIDIA
    or C>NVIDIA...

Please mark this as best solution if you are helped by it...
  6. Try a Windows Explorer search of all your drives.
  7. And how do i do that
  8. Use Windows Explorer - one drive at a time
  9. The problem here isnt that he needs to update any drivers since nvidia geforce appearently can update every single driver (according to what it said after he used specific installation) EXEPT for the graphics driver wich is only just ONE of the seven i belive of different things he needs to install but what i find weird is that the other things dont appear on his install/uninstall part.

So im not looking for a way to update any drivers only a way to completely wipe them for a new clean install of them

And btw, i have no idea what your talking about, use windows explorer to search for how to wipe each driver at a time?...
  10. Cheeses F. Search for 'nvidia' on each drive. Go through the results
  11. So i have to search for nvidia on his C: and D: hard disk and remove everything with the name "nvidia" on it?

Sorry first time doing something like this.. complete noob
  12. First just find them all

    then delete/uninstall 3 files -
nvidia 3d blah blah - two of em
    nvidia graphics driver

    leave the rest
  13. We have searched for them and again, CANT find them.
So the problem we have now:
When going to Advanced installation on the Geforce-experience thingy we get the following results, Everything exept the 337.88 graphics drivers installed correctly wich should mean, that we should be able to find the other drivers in search box? But we still...cant

And we neither can find his old version of the driver to remove. Dosnt matter what or how we do. We simply cant find any nvidia releated files according to what you said (nvidia 3d blah blah neither nvidia grpahics drivers) but however, we found his Nvidia folder (he has two of them, one in Programs x86 and one in Programs
  14. I give in - either they are there or they are not there.
  15. They are not there because they cant get installed because of the graphics drivers

Download a program called iobit uninstaller. A list of programs should show up. Uninstall anything Nvidia related.

Restart your PC. The resolution should be very low if you don't have an intel processor or amd processor with an AMD igpu. Fear not, this will soon be fixed.

Open up chrome or whatever browser you use and download the latest driver from this page:
    http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

    Restart your PC.
