My pc is 3 years old and now running w8.1 update 1

Specs
I3-2100 3.1Ghz
DH67BL mobo
8GB RAM
NO GPU...!!!

Do i need to buy i5/i7 along with gpu or only gpu would do fine...??

My requirements...
Want to play games released in 2013-14(crysis 3 etc) and to be released in 2015..i dont care about 2016 games

Budget...may vary...preferably less than ₹30k($500)

Solution
Depends on which settings you'r going to play. For 1080p + Medium settings, R9 270x will do its job well with i3 2100 without significant bottleneck. Will also leave you some cash to upgrade to 3rd gen i5 (non-K).

You can get i5 3470 + Sapphire Dual-X R9 270x and be able to max out majority of games while still giving fluid fps.

Your CPU will be a bottleneck to higher performing GPU's like GTX 770 or R9 280x which are close to your budget, around 24k INR.

thanx maktovic, but is lukelaw correct...??
would i be able to play Crysis 3 and watchdogs at 1080p(any setting...just no lag)
if thats correct how about 650ti boost or just simple ti and saving money for a whole system upgrade in 2016-17(intel tick tock could give us an amazing technology in 2017

bro..i dont want max settings..just that much fps that i can run without lag...i played tomb raider with my current settings...and it was like hell...!!
i dont have problem with low settings until i get a smooth play even if that means compromising quality.

just saw there is only a bit of price difference between 270x and ti boost...thanx for the advice..
finally going only with 270x..no i5
