Hi I currently want a new pc and I am kind of aiming for an amd one. I already decided that these might be my pc parts (Not gonna change them for a while):

CPU: AMD FX6300 (6 CORE BLACK EDITION)
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7770
HDD: WD Black 1TB
RAM: 4GB of RAM
OS: Windows 8 Professional (64 BIT)

or this PC:
CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K
GPU: Nvidia GT 610
HDD: WD BLACK 1TB
RAM: 4GB of RAM
OS: Windows 8 Professional (64 BIT)

Don't worry about the ram I might upgrade it. Which one is best from these two?
Thanks!

The 1st one makes sense. The second is nuts - who puts a 4770k just to run a gt610?

Give us a budget and we'll come up with something that makes sense and works well as possible.

Have a look at Tom's - http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/build-your-own-budg...

Intel all the way although you could get a 4670K/4570K and use the extra money to get a 280 or 270X as that GPU is crap for games.

The 6300+7770 system is better for gaming. The i7 is really better for video and photo editing. I'd choose the 6300 build.

I have a friend that has the second computer but a slower hdd and he can run any game there is from this day at maximum high settings. I think I'll choose the first one :)  because I don't want to waste a lot of money, I want to spend some on fps games. Thanks for the help. c:

The hd 7770 is much better than the gt 610.

But the i7 4770k is much better than the fx 6300.

Games are generally more reliant on the gpu than the cpu. So he has wasted money on an i7 when he is only using a gt610 graphics card.

Wise choice going fx-6300 + 7770. That'll score you some decent fps in games whereas the i7+610 can only play Solitaire.

Another question on both of these builds. Would you ever use the Windows 8 Pro features?

That's geared towards business and engineering, which has BitLocker encryption, join a domain, and remotely access your PC, which is NEVER going to be used by consumers or gamers, and pointless for a low-end build anyway.
