Will it be a good decision by buying HD 6950 in 2014?

With next gen games being released and DirectX 12 coming up, should I buy a Sapphire HD 6950 2GB DDR5 OC Edition? In general, is it a good card? How good FPS should I expect?

no the card is a few years old. it was replaced by the 7950 and that been replaced by the 290x line. nvidia maxwell can be dropping at any time when foundry gets the yield up. when they do amd will like they for the 700 line drop some newer gpu to take some thunder from nvidia.

Missing some very important information needed to give you good advice:
How much are you willing to spend on a new card?
What is your resolution?
How much were you able to pick up the HD 6950 for?
What's your power supply like? Do you have a case that can fit a large video card?
