So I bought a new laptop it has an amd radeon hd 8750m gpu , I tried to play games on it but they are so slow for example I tried to play assassin's creed III at 720p everything to the medium I got 1 fps literally 1fps !!!! and skyrim I can't even play it on medium .I think that the games are using the intel HD but I disabled it from the pc manager . I installed the catalyst ,drivers everything .
The specs :
Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4200M CPU

Don't disable the intel one, you don't want to wear out the AMD.
for the slow part, I think they are working on the intel or you don't have the latest driver for the AMD (I'm using 14.6 beta which is pretty awesome and having no problem with games).
Now for solution : 1-is to set you notebook's power option to "High Performance", it's "Power saving" you'll suffer.
2-You should plug you Notebook to a power source.
3-Right click anywhere and click on "Configure switchable graphics" and the set the game you want to "High Performance" which is the AMD, "Power saving" is for the Intel (that's what i've been told).
4-From the AMD's Catalyst panel go to Power tab (Left side-Advanced view mode) then go to powerplay and when plugged in make it "Maximum performance".
In a game like Skyrim it will show you that you're running it on the Intel HD Graphics; it's ok (I'm playing it on Ultra settings) same specs but 8Gb Ram.
Goodluck :D
