hello guys
i am thinking about upgrading to gtx 760 over my vapor-x r9 270x...
i dont wanna spend that much money to buy a gtx 770 currently.. as there is lots of ups and downs in gpu market and i'm expecting nvidia to lower their gfx card prices a li'll bit..
so i just have few dollars to spend at this time...
i have seen in gpuboss that gtx 760 did scored better than r9 270x and also in lots of games like fer cry 3, bf4 its a lot better performer and gives at least 8-15 fps more...
so i'm asking is that li'll few dollars will worth it upgrading to gtx 760 or i should settle to r9 270x trying a bit overclocking..

Solution
hmm...if you feel the 270x actively holding your frames down then go for it, but if youre not having problems with the 270x i dont think its worth it. sell it and get a 770?
There is only a single tier of difference between those two cards. If you didn't have either one, the GTX760 might be worth the price difference over the R9 270X. As an upgrade, IMHO, it is definitely not worthwhile unless you want to add PhysX effects to the few games that support it.

my 270x is just 1 months old and i have found a customer who have agreed to buy it at 195$ (30$ lesser than the price i brought the gpu). and a new gtx 760 costs 240$.. so i have to pay 45$ extra just in case to buy a new gtx 760..
which is not a very big amount and not even the smallest amount.
so i'm asking will that 45$ gonna worth it?

Actually I'm not having that kinda notifiable prob but its the watch dogs...
I think the game has bug in itself. I'm playing at high preset at 1080 p and getting 45 fps avg but whenever I drive a car ; frame rates drop to 33-38.
And I do notice some frame drops which are annoying..
Can a gtx 770 perform a good performance in ultra preset for watch dogs?

yeah my buddy has an i5 4670k and a GTX 770 and watch dogs SUCKS on his rig, we know its because the game is buggy and needs optimization patches (more of them, that is). its not your hardware its the game. Do all other games run with ease?

yeah other games are working fine its just the watch dogs which sucks.. thanks for your help.. i think for a 5-6 fps over a 40 fps (means 45/46) really doesn't worth it... any that wont make any noticiable differance to gameplay.. i'm good with my r9 270x and would try to overclock it a little bit to achieve a close performance to gtx 760

None of those cards will run Watch Dogs on ultra well. The game even tells you it needs 3+GB of VRAM for ultra when you select it. I have it maxed out with 8x AA on a 290x and still experience frame rate dips. The graphics mods that are out there do help with the random stuttering though and make it look nicer.

Well thanks for the convincing reply... Yeah I also did play the game in my another pic with a radeon 7950 vapor-x having 3 gb vram.. But still there was bad stuttering and frame drops.. And what's more irritating is that I even really care about how low the fps are if it plays smoothly ; but sometimes as I said when driving cars the game freezes for short time laps like half a secs which is clearly noticeable.. There's deep frame drops.. Very poor optimization even when playing in high preset.. (forget about ultra)
AAnd the heck thing that the developers have stated that it will be needing a gtx 780 to run at ultra.. Are u kidding me? How many people except freak enthusiasts spends dat much on a GPU!!
