Hello everyone, thanks in advance for reading this and for your help.

I've been a console gamer for a long time, but for this generation I've decided to jump into the PC bandwagon. I want hook my PC to my TV and home theater and play just as if it were a console (except it will obviously look better). As you can guess, my TV's maximum resolution is 1920x1080, which is perfectly fine for me. I want to be able to play current games like watchdogs and BF4 and future games like Arkham Knight and Witcher 3, at the highest detail possible.

I was thinking of going with a Core i7 4770 with 8GB of RAM, and a GeForce GTX 780, but then I found out that a GPU like that would be overkill for 1080p gaming. I'm not interested in anything higher than 1080p or dual monitors or anything like that. I also don't know anything about overclocking nor do I think that I'll need it for what I'm aiming for. Also, I'm very conscious about power consumption. So, I'm looking for help in putting together a PC for gaming at 1080p and ultra specs, could you recommend a GPU? Maybe the GeForce 770 is right for me?
Thanks a lot for your help, and please excuse my english since it's not my native language.

A 780 is not overkill for 1080P ultra. It is actually required for Watch Dogs, and in the future it will most likely be required for more games. Go for the 780. Another option would be to get the 770 now, and SLI when you need it in the future. Just make sure you go for a 4GB version. An example card is below.

A 780 is way overkill for 1080p. Don't listen if they say in the future, people play on pentiums still.
The xeon 1230v3 is an i7 without integrated graphics or the ability to overclock.
I would decide on the xeon 1230v3 and the gtx 770 for 1080p.

I don't need an OS, nor a keyboard or a mouse. I have a cooler master 1000w PSU so I don't think I need to purchase a new one. I've read that the 4gb GeForce 770 only makes a difference if you go higher than 1080p, so is the 2gb right for me? Or should I pick the 780? thanks.
