Does overwolf affect performance?

I have recently begun using teamspeak and I installed overwolf with it. It looks amazing but what I want to know is will it affect the performance of my games?

u can always shut it off if it gives frame drops. ive noticed overwolf somethimes slows down fps if u press record button by mistake but otherwise seems fine im on 8350 and works good
