So, Flash games started causing bsod. Each time it was a different code (Ox8e, 0x0a, 0x7e). I updated graphics card driver, I reinstalled flash, I did all windows updates, and I tried a different browser (it's happened in Firefox and Chrome). I ran memtest and discovered bad memory. I replaced the memory and eventually the bsod stopped, but the freezing has not. It locks up the computer and I have to hold the power button to turn off.
I installed linux and had no problems for a couple months, but then it also started freezing. I ran memtest again and after several passes it found no errors. I also tried going through my memory systematically one by one to see if there was an issue. Computer froze with three different sticks including the brand new one.
I would love to check my dump files, but Windows SDK gets an error while installing that I can't figure out, so I can't install dumpchk.exe. I've tried using DebugView and BlueScreenView, but neither seems to work at opening a .dmp file. Then, just recently I installed Sins of a Solar Empire and it has started to crash. It doesn't freeze the computer, just the game. It makes a dump file, but I can't read it.
