Will my Graphics card OC version work with intel i5 and what are the reqiurments for not risking them from the heat?

The title explains all of it, i'm just a really noob pc guy and i'm just wondering, I bought MSI GTX 750 TI Oc edition and MSI Z97 gaming 5 motherboard, i just wanna know if my graphics card will work with intel i5 or do i need i7 to make it work without getting my pc heated and risked?

Any recent intel i5 can run the biggest graphics cards available.

Ok well what do i need to do that wont make my pc heated when i turn on the OC?

It will not make any difference. Your cpu does not overheat because of the graphics card.
Your understanding of what is going on inside the pc box is wrong. When you spend $1000 on a couple of
graphics cards things change a little bit. Your graphics card is very 'modest'.
The actual power consumption in watts is around 70, so its not going to burn the house down.
Forget about it for now, just enjoy it.
