Vasanth R,
Without more information it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what is causing your issue. However, it does sound as if it is driver related. Since it appears you’re using Service Pack (SP) 2, I recommend upgrading to
SP3 before continuing the troubleshooting process.
Once you’ve upgraded to SP3, you’ll want to start looking at reasons for your issue. You may have installed a software update which could cause a driver to stop working properly. It’s also possible that you have a hardware issue. Take a look at
this page, which has detailed steps to take for troubleshooting your hardware and software driver issues.
Another thing to keep in mind is that Windows XP is no longer supported. You may want to look at your hardware to see if it meets the requirements to upgrade to either
Windows 7 or
Windows 8.1. Since you’re running an Intel 845 chipset, you should be good to go on processor requirements for both.
I hope this helps!
