I have a custom rig running Windows 8 and it worked perfectly for several months. A few days ago I installed a graphics card update and it made my screens go black. It loads past the BIOS and the windows loading screens, but as soon as it gets to the login screen, the screen turns black. So the obvious answer is, it's the video card driver, right? I boot up to safe mode, roll back the driver, and get the same results. So finally I do a PC refresh and it works again. Until I installed the graphics card driver. Then it had the same problem. The card works fine when the driver isn't installed, but when it is, the entire system crashes. When I boot up, half the time it launches into startup repair (which can't fix it), the other half of the time, it boots up to that black screen. Anyone have any ideas?
