Hi guys, fab here
I'm in the UK and i'm going to build my first gaming PC which I will be hooking up to a 4K projector in my home cinema (doesn't mean I have to be playing 4K resolution) and I can only use wireless internet. I have already come up with a build but I am very new to this stuff so I would really appreciate your guys opinion and anywhere I am spending unnecessary money and anywhere I could improve. I will just use the PC for gaming and maybe the occasional movie, but it will not be a normal day-to-day use desktop PC. I would just appreciate any input you guys have. ;D
So here is the build

This is better the 290X is just a 290 overclocked
I changed the 290X to the 290 and you could OC it a lil bit to gain more performance
i myself am getting a 280 instead of a 280x which is a waste of money and am going to OC it to the 280X Speed or over it if possible
for that i got you the I5 4670K and a Nicer Mobo :)

I think you meant i5 4570, also, no need for Z87 if you're not going to overclock.

Don't get a stock 290X it runs really hot and really loud, I like the Gigabyte Windforce/XFX DD/Sapphire Tri-X, also, I'd recommend a 650W PSU for it as it can draw a lot of power.

Also the SSDNow V300 now uses asynchronous NAND instead of synchronous NAND which can lead to a 50% performance decrease (asynchronous can't read and write at the same time while synchronous can), get something like the MX100 which is cheap, fast and reliable.

I have no choice about the stock R9 290X, it's the cheapest one I can get and I am on a budget. Also on the pc build uk forum, they said that having 600w for my system was plenty? and they recommended a 550w but I wanted to make sure. Also what other motherboards do you recommend instead? And thanks for the SSD recommendation, I changed it to the MX100 128GB
Cheers ;D

Thanks for the suggestion man, but I really don't have they money to upgrade the cpu and get that motherboard. I feel like the motherboard is good and comes with everything I need. Why wouldn't I go with corsair for the PSU? I've been told they are very reliable
Cheers :)

If you don't mind the sound the R9 290X is fine.
