So for some reason 4 to 5 removable disk drives randomly appear and then disappear after about 2 seconds. This is a constantly occurring issue.I have not made any hardware changes and all my drivers are up to date. I have fixed this once before but do not remember how. The drives are labeled i,j,k,l and m.

Do you ever hook up tour cell phone to the PC? Each time you do the storage on the phone might be recognized as an external drive and then saved, so the next time windows assumes it's yet another drive? Just a thought. The mysterious two second appearance makes little sense in that scenario though.
