Dear Tom's Hardware Build Gods. I need some help. I recently built what for me is my dream system. I've previously used mostly AMD graphics cards. Put this system together with two EVGA GTX 780 Ti Dual classified. I've built 5 systems, but I'm still very much a novice and usually learn a lot every build. (I'm sure the problem is me and not the cards)

Cards:

I initially had a problem when I enabled SLI; the graphics looked horrible in games, washed out, really don't know how to adequately describe it. Horrible. Desktop was ok, but games and benchmarks looked really bad. Non-SLI looked fine. Individual cards checked out ok. Eventually fixed by moving the bridge from the first connection (closest to the outputs) to the second. Turned on SLI visual indicator and seems to be working ok.

My problem is that it seems to push lower FPS than my expectations. It runs Valley Benchmark at anywhere from 60 - 150 FPS but I would say the median number is around 110. Which is basically what I get with a single card.

The best Cinebench R15 number was 108 FPS, usual number is around 90ish FPS which is slower than my single 7870 card (on a different system) which does 118 FPS consistently.

The games I play look and play fine. Warcraft at 2560x1080 with everything set to highest setings fps ranges from 60-180 with a median of around 90.

Things I've tried - upgrading to latest drivers, downgrading to older drivers, running single card, changing bridge (used a 3way sli bridge).

Confirming SLI is in fact working with nVidia SLI visual indicator.

Changing bios to bios 2

Have not tried overclocking the card. (I've had mixed results with that in the past, and this card is factory overclocked somewhat)

Did not see an increase in performance with any of these attempts.

So am I right, is this slow for this setup or is this performance typical?
I feel like I've missed something simple.
What if anything might I try next?

System:
Intel 4960X mild overclock to 4.3Ghz in X.M.P. mode
Asus Rampage IV black
8X Hyper X beast 8gb 2400 RAM (Ram disk not set up at this time)
Crucial M550 1TB SSD
Windows 7 64 pro
Acer B296C 29" display

Thanks so much in advance for your time and expertise. -Scott

Yep didn't click the benchmark tab, so it just continuously looped. Benchmark FPS 100.0, min 29 max 189. That was at ultra, picking other settings, including changing to 3d9, or open gl, didn't change it appreciably, infact open gl was lower, at 96fps
