This is my first build, and so far it's not going well.

Parts:
Asus Z87 PRO motherboard
Intel i7 4770k Chip w/ stock fan
EVGA GTX 780 graphics card
XFX 850W PSU
G.Skill Ripjaw 2x4GB Ram
Kingston 120 GB SSD
Toshiba 2 TB HDD
Windows 7 or 8 (Whichever I can get to work)

So I put the pieces together. My test boot on the bench with just the Motherboard, PSU, RAM, Chip, and the 780 went smoothly, and I was able to get into the BIOS with no issue.

After I tried first installing Windows 7 on the SSD in the case (HDD is not connected, will be used only as storage), the installation went without too much trouble, but when I did the final boot, the one where I should have Windows fully intalled, I BSOD, with an error code WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR, then the computer reboots several times only to return to a BSOD each time. After further troubleshooting, I figure out that i'm able to boot up into safe mode, and use it normally, but if I try to exit safe mode, I just go back to BSOD and rebooting.

I've tried reinstalling Windows, I've tried using the HDD instead of the SSD, I've tried booting without the 780 attached, I'm about to try using only either one of the RAM sticks, in case one of them is defective. I'm still able to get to the BIOS, only now I see that the BOOT_DEVICE_LED light is remaining on, and steady. Also, the q_code reads A2 at all times.

What does this mean?
What should I do?

Edit:
Watched and paid attention to the Q_Code as I tried to reboot again, and it turns out the code just goes to "AO" after I pass the BIOS and all that. So, the A2 may be irrelevant. Go figure.
The BOOT_DEVICE_LED also does not light up after I exit the BIOS.

Q Codes should be in the manual ...>A2 on my M6F means problem on "IDE Detect"

Open your manual.....should be list of codes in 1st chapter under "On Board LEDs"

On next to last page of manual should also be a phone number for Asus TS.... call them and have them guide you thru troubleshooting procedure

Possible Solutions:

A. Use internal GFX and reset CMOS (instructions in manual)

B. Update BIOS using Asus BIOS Flashback, or USB Ez Update method described in manual. After upgrading BIOS ....and yes upgrade even if it's same version .... idea is we wanna replace what's in there .... turn off machine via power button .... DO NOT TURN OFF PSU .... and reset CMOS again.

If you get into BIOS hit F1 (reset to defaults) save and exit,

Install Windows, drivers ....reboot and run Windows Update over and over till done

Shut down and install GFX card .... if no workie, it's a card problem.

C. If it doesn't work, check SATA cables....might wanna unplug / plug b4 starting even.\

If you had a cable problem and boot detected it.... even after you correct it, it seems that the BIOS doesn't want to "forget" if ya don't do A or B

Oh yes....and make sure ya used the Intel SATA Ports not Marvel SATA ports .... SSD should be in lowest numbered port (see manual) ..... once windows done, HD should be 2nd lowest and optical 3rd

Another thing .... have your CPU fans connected properly to CPU header(s) ?

Yeah, A2 means IDE Detect on my manual, but I cannot figure out what it means.
