so ive been having this problem where i just recently installed a new gpu i installed a nvidia gtx 780 SC 3gb on my system, now my power supply at first wasnt working, which was a 600w gaming one a normal cant remember the manufacterer, so i went and did something stupid maybe i desperate move, i bought an OMEGA 1200W psu "gaming"im aware that its generic and not the best, but atleast it could start up my system with my new videocard, i thought eveything was fine i played regular games at high quality like for example titanfall with no problem BUT now when i play BF4 or watch dogs at ultra my computer shuts down automatically my battery breakers go down and my cpu shuts down i tried connecting it directly to the power outlet nbut the same after a few minutes my computer shuts down now who can tell me whatn the problem is? please and thank you

Then you should have said that first ;)

The best deal I see then is this XFX. Like all XFX units it's made by Seasonic and this unit is a rebadged X series. Same internals, same 80 Plus Gold certification and is also modular.

$135 at NCIX.

The actual X series is also on sale for $141 at Newegg.

Well since the problem started with new PSU, 1st suggestion is take that outta the equation.

Where are these battery breakers ? Are we talking UPS ? Your PSU is likely too high powered for your old UPS.

By all means get a "real" OSU for the system before something gets toasted.

If ya thinking SLI someday.....top choices would be Corsair HX850 and Seasonic X-850 ..... next Corsair RM series, Seasonic M12, Antec HCG/HCP or XFX Core Edition. And no ..... just because you get a CPU same brand as any of the preceding doesn't mean they are good PSU's ....avoid Corsair CX / CSM series for example..... Avoid Antec Basiq, Neo etc.....even within a series you can get good and bad....HX 650, HX 750 and HX 850 for example are great..... HX 100 and HX 1050 are dogs.

Buy a name brand, quality power supply. Problem fixed. "Gaming" means nothing except as marketing to people who don't know anything about power supplies.

You need a quality 600w unit. Get rid of that "1200w ( yeah right! ) Omega piece of junk before it damages something.

Stick with tier 2 or higher on this list for a high power system like yours.

If you are in the US then newegg has the exact same Seasonic SS660 XP2 that I have on sale for $80 after promo code and rebate.

Seasonic is the best and the Platinum series is the best they make so this is literally one of the best units on the market. I paid $135 for mine and it is worth it at that price. $80 is a steal. Here are some reviews from the best power supply testing sites on the web.

yea i meant the UPS but like i said i tried connecting my system directly mto the power outlet and all it did like 2 minutes into the game was shutdown now i really dont know if the problem to this is the PSU or is it over heating, and if the overheating is cause because of that piece of shit generic PSU that im using says 1200wats on the box but it seems it isnt really doing it, obviously, it runs titanfall at full without shutting down but once i start watchdogs at ultra it goes out.

You don't need a power supply for the card alone. That will do nothing but cause potential problems. The Corsair HX is a great unit but 850 watts is way more than you need. In fact 850 watts is sufficient for 2 x GTX 780s in Sli.

You can trust that this list is more than sufficient and the wattages listed for each card are overstated enough for any overclocking you might do.

http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm

You will not beat the quality of the Seasonic I listed above. It's a step up from the Corsair and I guarantee it's plenty for your system. If you still have crashes with it then your problems lie elsewhere.

Low quality power supplies not only supply 'dirty' power with high ripple and noise as well as voltages out of spec they also are rated at peak output while high quality units are rated at continuous output. Very few low quality units produce anywhere near their listed output. Higher quality units almost always can supply more than what they are rated for.
