Hey guys. I play a lot of online games, so a network drop is really damn annoying, and it happens around 3-5 times daily to me.
First of all, im on fiber optic internet, i get around 60-80mbps. I'm using a wireless connection with a BT homehub and my mobo is Asus Z87 pro, all drivers updated.
What will happen is ill be in game and then it will d/c me, ill check The network status via windows task bar, and it just had the yellow "i" sign, ill be connected to the router but it wont connect to the internet. This usually corrects itself within about 2 minutes or so, but sometimes requires a hard restart of the router to fix. I would go for a wired connection but my PC is upstairs, and the only phone socket is downstairs. Is there a way to fix this? If there's anymore information you require please let me know and ill post it up here asap.
edit; I also get regular lag spikes, internet will be fine then ill spike from 30ms to like 3000ms
Thanks in advance for your time
