super bios chip

Would it be possible to have a supersized bios chip (32gb maybe?) and load a molded Linux distro onto it that way I wouldn't need an HDD

There are multiple instances of an embedded Linux environment. DVR, GPS, routers, etc, etc

All single use systems.

If you're talking about a general purpose Linux environment...well, that needs some space to write to during use. And if you have that space, why not have the OS on it as well.

I know I just like the idea of having one chip with my OS+BIOS combined
