Its an older dell PC running xp. It was recently cleaned and new antivirus installed. It goes home and bsod on startup. Tried restarting in safe mode, xp load screen comes up for a second then goes back to bsod. All improper shutdown startup options just lead right back to the bsod without windows loading. The PC didn'tt come with a disk so I don't know where to go with it. Any suggestions?

removed 10years worth of malware(over 100 instances), removed StarCraft, iTunes and a couple unused games, ran disk cleanup, disk defragmentor, installed malewarebytes and avg antivirus. It worked this morning, got it home and blue screen no matter what startup option. Safe mode, last good config, all blue screen. Got the same screen when I tried to use a USB mouse with it but only new item is the modem. Disconnected that and still blue screen.

unplug it. lay it on it's side. take side panel of. check all wires ( physically ) to make sure they are attached properly. even if they look like they are on.

1>Are you using any graphic card? if your having remove it(but plug the cable in VGA port) and try to switch on,If you don't have, its OK.
2>There will be 4-pin power connector beside the processor socket,Remove it,put it back.
3>Remove the RAM's and clean it off,put it back.
Let me know what happens.
