So i looked at these requirements for dead rising 3 on PC.

Really? Who really thinks that we need 6gb of ram for this? It really isn't that impressive looking.
Q9550? Really? IT LOOKS LIKE A PS3 GAME!

Here's my what i think it should be-

Minimum-
Intel Q6600
GTS 450
4 gb ram

Recommended-
Core i5- 4570
GTX 560 ti
6gb ram

What do you guys think?

The next gen consoles releasing have hit the "reset button" on optimization. For the next few years we can expect console ports to release with higher system requirements than we're used to and crap optimization, without really looking much better than the previous games. Same thing happened last generation.

As the consoles age, optimization will improve and graphics will improve...

For the next few years we can expect console ports to release with higher system requirements than we're used to and crap optimization, without really looking much better than the previous games. Same thing happened last generation.

As the consoles age, optimization will improve and graphics will improve. It's very likely that a console port 5 years from now will have nearly the same recommended specs as that i5-4570 and GTX 670. Just like console ports from the PS3 always recommended about an 8800GTX and Athlon II X3 or equivalent, all the way from 2006 to 2013. Strong specs when they first released, to the point where everyone complained about how you needed a monster card to play average looking games, and then in a few years the recommended specs don't change, because the console hardware doesn't change, and everyone is happy again getting free graphics improvements from better optimization and newer engines.

Instead of looking at this like "omfg, they already need a 670 and i5-4570? Crap optimized. Imagine what they'll need in 5 more years" you should instead look at it like "If I have a GTX 670 and i5-4570 or better, it'll last through the PS4's life cycle."

The processor requirement doesn't have much to do with what the game looks like. As I recall, Dead Rising 3 was marketed as having enormous hordes of zombies everywhere, and that's the sort of thing that really stresses a processor. Not graphics, per se.
