Hello,

I recently built a system with these items:

AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor FD8350FRHKBOX

ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

(2 Sets - 32 GB total) G.SKILL Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-1866C10D-16GAB

CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

When I set the RAM to 1866mhz in the uefi the system fails. The ram is stable at 1333mhz though. Can I run the ram at 1866mhz? If so, what settings must I change?

Thanks!

Set bios settings to default, save and restart, go into bios again and click OC tuner (if there is that option) that will raise the voltage of the northbridge so that speed can be supported. After the shutdown go into bios again and set manually to 1866Mhz. Otherwise manually increase the NB voltage little by little and test if the system is stable.
