Hey guys,

I've made up a list for a build.

I'd just like a second opinion before I go and spend 1 grand.

She'd want to play battlefield 4 with me, she's moved on from COD ps3 to BF4 on pc thanks to me and my build.

Using the website listed, would there be any changes you'd make?

The build looks good - well balanced. I would not buy an XFX graphics card though. Their cards have an abnormally high defect rate. Especially with regards to the bearings in their fans. Other than that, everything is great.

I noticed you went for the XFX probably because of the $219 price. All the better board manufacturer's are more expensive it seems. In that case, you could easily go with the Sapphie R9 270 (non-X) from the same site which is $209:

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1589&products_id=26092

The R9 270 is literally the 270x but with a slightly lower clock speed out of the box. It can easily be overclocked to equal the 270x and even beyond the stock 270x performance. It's a really good value card at the moment. I wouldn't roll the dice of an XFX card just to have that letter "X" at the end of my 270 ;)

Those prices aren't very good. You can get better parts for cheaper.

I'm starting to see a trend with these 'redone builds'

Everyones getting rid of the SSHD I picked and is switching it with a normal HDD.

I guess looking at these psu's, the one I picked isn't worth the cables.

In saying all that, so far looking at these redone builds. I'll definitely switch out the gfx, ram and maybe the psu.

Do you think the cables on the psu are worth it?
Is the SSHD not worth it?

Thanks guys.
