4 years ago I bought a rig from ibuypower, and have been very happy with its performance. It still runs current, high requirement games at a respectable fps.
However, in light of certain games coming out this year and next, I am looking to upgrade necessary components to run these games at high-ultra settings. As this is my first possible upgrade, I don't really know what key factors there are in figuring out what you should upgrade and why. Therefore, I am asking your help to take a look at my specs and give some advice.
I may resort to buying a brand new pc, but I really do like and respect my current tower so I'd like to keep her alive if possible.
Here are my PC specs :
Huge case, no space issues.
AMD Radeon 6970
8 gigs of ram
AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1100T Processor
Windows 7
Not sure what exact model my Mobo is, but its an asus. Was a really high quality 4years ago.
1000 watt PS
Games I am looking to play :
Evolve
Witcher 3
Destiny (if it comes out for pc)
The Division
My PC can run Arma 3 at medium settings at a smooth fps, Metro last light on high settings at a smooth fps, DayZ is pretty laggy for some reason.
