HDD not found by computer.

Hello, I recently added a small HDD from my laptop onto my desktop for my photos. It worked perfectly at first but one day, it decided to disappear from my computer. It does not appear in both device manager and disk management.

The drive is connected to a port that is fully functional as I have tested it with other drives.

Please help.

Ive checked it and all cables are attached firmly. I put my ear to the drive and it is indeed spinning and no abnormal noises are being produced.

No abnormal sounds coming from the drive. Sounds exactly the same as my other ones. Whats weird is that It detects on one of my old ghetto rigged computers, but wont be detected on my main computer.

As for returning it, this drive is nearly 4 years old so I cannot possibly return it.

Cant even format it, HDD does not even appear for me to select it.
