I would change that mobo and get atleast an amd 970 chipset mobo. Why not get a cheaper case which has only usb 2.0 front ports. Bcoz am3+ chipset does not have usb 3.0 header. Get this case and this mobo and also get yourself an aftermarket cooler and a better psu. Here's the entire build for $ 700

fx 6350 cpu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... $139.99
ga-990fxa-ud3 mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... $ 124.00
ram gskill sniper 1600 mhz 2* 4gb: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... $ 79.99
Storage: wd blue 1 tb: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... $ 59.99
HIS r9 270x: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... $ 179.99
thermaltake sp 550 pcbus 80+ bronze psu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... $49.99
Nzxt source 210 case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... $ 39.99
Cooler master hyper 212 evo cpu cooler: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... $ 34.99
Total: $ 708.93
Just above $ 700.

All of the FX series processers are the same performance wise. They just set the clock lower. A 6300 at the same ghz as the 6350 performs exactly the same and has no notable differences.

A little nitpick is to get nividia card. For some reason it seems a lot more games run better on evenly performing nividia cards. I had a 6670 and I got a computer given to me that had a gt 640. Swapped the cards and suddenly everything ran a lot better. Not even like 5 fps difference but like 10+ fps difference in most games.

yes a 6350 will run as the same as an overclocked 6300. But the 6350 can be Oced even more than its stock clock. That's why I suggested it.

As for getting nvidia cards, that's absolutely untrue and misleading. Atleast the performance gain can be seen only in your case. The 6670 must have been a ddr3 version and the gt 640 a ddr5 version. I have a gddr5 version of 6670 andit beats the gt 640 completely.
