I just bought some compression fittings and some tubing for my water cooling build. I do not know lots about water cooling and after purchasing everything I realised the tubing was 3/8" ID 1/2" OD whilst the fittings are 3/8" ID by 5/8" OD. Will the tubing still work? The tubing I think is slightly smaller than the fittings so it can stretch right?

The OD of the fittings are 1/8" bigger than the tubing OD, it will still work but you would have nothing actually holding the tubing to the barb other than friction between plastic and metal.
My suggestion, buy the right tubing. Its like $10 for enough tubing, but a leak can end up costing your whole system.
