So i recently put together the following build
m5a99fx pro r2.0
amd fx 8320
Cooler Master 212 Hyper EVO
Sapphire R9 280 Dual X
Crusial ballistix Sport XT 8GB (2x4GB 1600)
120GB SSD Mushking Chronos (Windows 8.1 OS installed here)
1TB WD Caviar Blue
1TB Seagate barracuda
Thermaltake Smart SE630 80 Bronze plus
And everything is fine and all, i even did some overclocking and my cpu currently runs at 4 Ghz
but i have been wondering...my current boot time is 34 seconds from the moment i press the power button...is that normal? I 've heard people achieving boot times of 10-15seconds with similar set ups and it got me thinking...my ssd is connected to the navy blue sata controller which is for data drives according to the Asus manual of my motherboard.
Another peculiar thing i have noticed is that in my bios options i cannot seem to be able to set my ssd as a primary option for boot up (though it boots normally)
In the boot priority section of the UEFI for some reason i only see my dvd rom drive and my WD drive which
is kind of weird...What do you guys think?
