Bios 1.40 reports 2 x 800 mhz pc2-6400 KUR80002n6/4Gb DDR2-533 memory as 266 mhz.
Win 7 64 bit 'sees' the two 4gb modules as 8Gb ok but suffers occasional screen freeze.
Previous memory ok - 2 x 1Gb DDR2-533 266 mhz non-ecc un-buffered
Using AMD Athlon 64 X 2 ADO4600IAA5DO 2.4GHz Socket AM2 CPU

Solution
1) You can try to clear the CMOS by either removing the battery or use the jumper, check the manual page 21.
Because you use the ddr2-533 (266MHzX2) if you don't clear the CMOS, and the PC will remember the old data. After clear the CMOS, reboot the PC, it will recognize the RAM in the right speed.
2) Also you can go to the BIOS " Memory Configuration " section, page 35to set the RAM speed to 400mhz DDR2_800. Also maybe set the memory timing too. but try to the step 1 first.

Thanks - all now ok
Clearing Bios had no effect - still reported 266Mhz - but setting RAM speed to 400Mhz fixed the problem
